Hugo Souza

Hugo Souza is an accomplished oboist with extensive performance experience and an academic background in oboe performance and literature. Current roles include Oboe with The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and Principal Oboe with the Columbus Symphony. Previous engagements feature Acting Principal Oboe at the Chautauqua Institution and various positions with prestigious ensembles such as the American Symphony Orchestra and American Ballet Theatre. Additionally, Hugo Souza serves as an Adjunct Professor at Capital University and has participated in multiple tours and festivals, including a guest artist role at Music@Menlo. Hugo Souza's education includes a Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music, alongside advanced certifications and degrees from NYU and Purchase College.
