William Carter

William Carter has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. William is currently the VP of Local Government Affairs at The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia since 2019. Prior to this, they were the Chief Operating Officer at Philadelphia City Council for seven years from 2012 to 2019. William also had a role as the Legislative Director / General Counsel at City Council of Philadelphia from 2003 to 2011. Before entering the public sector, they were a Managing Partner at Enterletics - Sports and Entertainment Mgt. from 2001 to 2003.

William Carter received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Hampton University between the years 1988 and 1992. William then pursued a Doctor of Law degree (JD) from Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law, completing their studies from 1998 to 2001.
