Jim Renner currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Birds Georgia and the Georgia Mining Association since 2021, as well as the Inuit Art Society until December 2024. Since August 2019, Jim has been the Manager of Environmental Stewardship at The Chemours Company, focusing on advancing environmental, social, and governance commitments and building stakeholder relationships. Prior roles include Manager of Environmental Stewardship at Southern Ionics Minerals, LLC, and Southern Ionics Incorporated, where responsibilities included environmental program leadership and permitting for new mining ventures. With extensive experience at Golder Associates as Minerals Development Leader and Sustainability Leader, Jim contributed to sustainable development initiatives in the industrial minerals sector. Early career experience includes work as a field ecologist and geologist at KEMRON Environmental Services. Jim holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Geology from The University of Georgia.
