Wei Wang

Wei Wang is a Research Investigator specializing in CFD Modeling at The Chemours Company since May 2017. Previously, Wei worked as a CFD Applications Engineer at Babcock & Wilcox from October 2011 to July 2016, focusing on CFD modeling and simulations for energy equipment in power plants. Wei’s academic experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Joint Institute for Computational Science, where simulation of turbulent combustion with detailed gas-phase chemistry and soot emission reduction methods were developed from October 2010 to October 2011. Wei began academic pursuits as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at North Carolina State University, culminating in a Ph.D. in Combustion, Thermal Engineering, and CFD. Wei also holds a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Thermal Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
