Julie Amadeo

Board Member at The Child Center of NY

Julie Amadeo is a native New Yorker who was raised in Forest Hills, Queens, where she spent her formative years learning Spanish from her Cuban grandparents after school.

A mid-level associate at Steptoe & Johnson LLP, Julie specializes in complex commercial litigation and international arbitration. Prior to joining Steptoe, she was an associate at Hughes, Hubbard and Reed LLP. She graduated from New York University School of Law in 2016 and holds an M.A. and B.A. in English from St. John’s University. She also sings with the New York City Bar Chorus.

Volunteering and community outreach have always been a part of Julie’s life, from the time she was in high school and volunteered at the Forest Hills Branch of Queens Library to her current pro bono work and mentorship of future lawyers and college students. She is grateful for the opportunity to contribute her professional skills, deep understanding of the issues facing New York families, and unique experience to the Board of Directors in furtherance of The Child Center’s mission.
