Chung How Kau

Chung How Kau serves as Chairman and Professor at The University of Alabama at Birmingham since March 2010 and directs the UAB Craniofacial Disorders Clinic in collaboration with Children’s Rehabilitation Services. Additionally, Chung is a Senior Scientist at the Global Center for Craniofacial, Oral and Dental Disorders and a Craniofacial Orthodontist at Children's of Alabama from January 2021. As a consultant and site visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation since August 2018, Chung also has prior experience as an Associate Professor of Orthodontics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and a Clinical Lecturer and Specialist Orthodontist at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. Chung's career began in the Republic of Singapore Air Force as Officer in Charge of a Dental Clinic and included service as an Inspector of Police with the Singapore Police Force. Chung holds multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD from Cardiff University, an MBA from the University of Leeds, and various dental qualifications, culminating in a BDS from the National University of Singapore.
