Charlie Burgess is a seasoned professional with diverse experience in recruitment, political campaigns, and advocacy for psychedelic medicine. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist for Recruitment Products at The Chronicle of Higher Education since October 2021, Charlie also holds the position of Associate at the Psychedelic Medicine Coalition, focusing on strategy and content development to educate federal lawmakers. Previous roles include an Outreach and Development Intern at Berger Hirschberg Strategies, a Quality Control Coordinator at Vote Blue, and a Communications Associate for Decriminalize Nature DC, where Charlie managed signature collection on Capitol Hill. A former Ensemble Member with the Richard Zielinski Singers, Charlie has an extensive background in political activism, having volunteered for campaigns such as Yang2020, Beto for Texas, and the College Democrats of Oklahoma. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Letters and a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Oklahoma, complemented by a Pre-Law Academic Semester Abroad at The University of Edinburgh in 2018.
