Amaris Cole has a diverse range of work experience in the field of digital communications and journalism. Amaris began their career as a Trainee Assistant to the Editor at Seven (formerly Seven Squared), where they assisted with photo shoots, conducted research, and learned office skills. Amaris then worked as a Trainee Journalist at News Associates, completing the fast-track NCTJ course and gaining experience in various aspects of journalism, including reporting, media law, and video journalism. Amaris also completed a period of work experience as a Reporter at SW Londoner, where they contributed to the 24-hour site by reviewing local events, writing news stories, and building relationships with sources.

Moving on to their more recent roles, Amaris worked as a Deputy Editor at Political and Religious Intelligence Ltd, primarily focusing on The Church of England Newspaper. Amaris then advanced to the position of Senior Digital Communications Manager, responsible for scoping, planning, and delivering digital projects for the national Church and local churches, including the management of the national church-finder website, AChurchNearYou. Currently, Amaris is the Head of Digital, leading an award-winning team in developing and implementing strategies to further the mission of the Church of England. Amaris manages the Church's national digital platforms' strategy and development, including websites, CRM (Salesforce), apps, smart speakers, and social channels, while also creating creative content in various formats such as audio, graphic, and video.

Amaris Cole's education history includes a NCTJ certification in Journalism obtained from News Associates in 2011-2012. Prior to that, they attended Presdales School in Ware from 2004 to 2011, where they pursued A-Levels in Politics, History, English, and Sociology. In addition to their formal education, Amaris has obtained additional certifications such as "The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" from Google in May 2019.
