Maya Zhe Wang, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Data Scientist at The Cigna Group, focusing on the development of a hierarchical healthcare large language model (LLM) and expanding fine-tuning tasks. Previously, as a Research Scientist at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Maya developed comprehensive data pipelines and conducted extensive statistical analyses and machine learning tasks while also engaging in system and computational neuroscience research. During a doctoral program at the University of Minnesota, Maya led numerous experiments, authored multiple high-impact research articles, and designed innovative projects such as a 3D VR game to study neural computation. Maya's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota, a Master's in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Rochester, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Statistics from Kansas State University.
