Doug Sandstrom

Doug Sandstrom currently serves as the Deputy City Manager for the City of Buckeye, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, Sandstrom was the Finance Director for the City of Goodyear from May 2016 to January 2024, and previously held the same position for the City of Casa Grande from November 2013 to May 2016. Sandstrom's extensive experience in municipal finance began as the Administrative Services Director for the City of Show Low from January 2010 to November 2013, and as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Surprise from November 1999 to November 2009. Earlier career roles include Finance Director for the Town of Gila Bend and Financial Analyst for the City of Rockford. Sandstrom earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a BA in Political Science/Economics from St. Cloud State University.
