Katherine Schad has had a diverse work experience over the years. Katherine started their career as a Program Assistant at Pathfinder International, where they managed program administration for various projects in Africa. Katherine then worked as a Project Manager at The Ariel Group, Inc., overseeing operational aspects of corporate training workshops.
Schad then moved on to Counterpart International, where they served as a Senior Program Officer, managing economic development projects worldwide. Afterward, they joined Chemonics International, where they held multiple roles including Operations Manager, Director of Employee Relations, and Operations Director for Europe & Eurasia.
Later, Schad joined Tetra Tech ARD as a Vice President, responsible for directing the operations of various departments. Katherine'sresponsibilities included managing multi-million dollar projects and overseeing project systems and manuals. Katherine then took on the role of Chief Administrative Officer at the City of Burlington, where they provided strategic and operational expertise, managed the city's financial operations, and oversaw the administration of the city budget.
Throughout their career, Schad acquired extensive experience in strategic planning, project management, finance, and human resources. Katherine has demonstrated success in leading teams, implementing policies, and achieving results.
Katherine Schad pursued their higher education beginning in 1992 at Gordon College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs in 1996. Katherine later attended the Thunderbird School of Global Management from 2001 to 2003, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business.

Burlington is the largest city in the State of Vermont with a population of nearly 40,000. The city covers 15.5 square miles on the eastern shore of Lake Champlain. There are four colleges in the city including the University of Vermont, (UVM). The University is located overlooking the city on a 451-acre campus which includes undergraduate, graduate, and medical schools. In addition there are two colleges within the city: Champlain College which occupies more than 40 buildings on over 22 acres, as well as Burlington College, which is smaller in size.
