Sarah Hernandez Timm

Sarah Hernandez Timm currently serves as the Public Information and Community Engagement Officer for the City of Burlington, Vermont, where responsibilities include enhancing transparency for the Burlington Police Department through strategic communication policies and engagement with the public and media. Prior experience includes roles at the U.S. Department of State focusing on human rights and public affairs at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, as well as humanitarian mapping in Tanzania with United Nations Volunteers to combat female genital mutilation. Sarah's background also encompasses various admissions counseling positions at Alverno College and educational roles with the Peace Corps. Academically, Sarah holds a Master of Science in International Policy Management from Kennesaw State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Women's & Gender Studies, Film Studies, and Cultures & Communities from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
