Joseph Brewer

Joseph Brewer has extensive experience in code compliance and community development, having held various roles at the City of Hyattsville, Maryland since December 2005, including Manager of the Office of Code Compliance and Inspector III in the Department of Code Enforcement. In addition to their municipal work, Joseph Brewer is the lead singer and guitarist for the independent rock band Unring the Bell, which is signed with Signal to Noise Records and tours regionally, as well as a founding member of Brewer's Arcade, dedicated to arcade and pinball preservation. Previously, Joseph Brewer was the lead singer and guitarist for the band [velvet], noted for crafting songs that balance aggression and accessibility. Early career experience includes teaching positions at St. Jerome's Catholic Church and the United States Senate Employees Child Development Center. Joseph Brewer pursued studies in Family Studies and Child Psychology at the University of Maryland from 2000 to 2002.
