Shakira Hall Louimarre, MDiv, currently serves as the Race and Equity Officer for the City of Hyattsville, Maryland, where responsibilities include promoting diversity, equity, access, and inclusion through policy and program implementation. Prior experience includes working as a Community Organizer for PAVE, focusing on education advocacy and parent leadership in Washington, D.C., and serving as a Chaplain at The Fortune Society, as well as a Communications Assistant for RISE Together Women of Color in Ministry. Shakira has also held a position as an Instructional Support Associate at the University at Buffalo. Academic credentials include a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Buffalo State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in African-American/Black Studies from the University at Buffalo.
