Jim Morikuni

Jim Morikuni has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Jim worked as a Senior Engineering Manager and Embedded and IoT Security Lead at The Climate Corporation, where they led the embedded software team for precision agriculture devices. Jim was responsible for release planning, scheduling, and managing agile software programs. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Security Researcher at Motorola Mobility for over a decade. Jim also worked as a Contractor at Lucent Technologies Bell Labs innovations, a Senior Scientist at Synopsys Optical Solutions Group, a Manager at Motorola Solutions, and a Lead Engineer at Tellabs. Jim began their career as a Research Engineer at Motorola Solutions, where they led efforts in optical interconnect modeling and simulation. Jim also worked on integrating models into product design and drove a multimillion-dollar DARPA program.

Jim Morikuni holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Jim has also obtained certifications in Cloud Computing Security, Symmetric Cryptography, and Cryptographic Hash and Integrity Protection from Coursera.
