Leia Lowery

Leia Lowery currently serves as the Executive Director and Co-Founder of The Climate Initiative, a position held since January 2020, where significant achievements include securing over six million dollars in donations for the Kennebunkport Climate Initiative and establishing a strategic business plan. With a long-standing role as Director of Programs and Outreach at Kennebunkport Conservation Trust since March 2010, Leia has successfully developed educational programming and partnerships, including a dual-enrollment class with notable institutions. Previous experience includes serving as a Program Facilitator for Kennebunk Parks and Recreation and an Independent Consultant for Virginia Farm Bureau, alongside a role as an Agriscience Teacher in Virginia, where curriculum integration and program development were key responsibilities. Leia holds a Master of Science in Vocational and Technical Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Virginia Tech.
