Michael Edwards CLMP, CXLT has extensive work experience in the legal industry. Michael is currently a Partner at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP, where they started in 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Member of the ASTM F13 Committee Pedestrian/Walkway Safety and Footwear at ASTM International. In 2022, they became the Vice President of the Las Vegas Chapter of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM Alliance).

From 2017 to 2023, Michael was a Partner at Messner Reeves LLP, specializing in complex litigation cases including professional liability, general liability, construction trades, environmental claims, and employment issues. Michael represented commercial and residential owners, design professionals, HOAs, and contractors in various legal matters.

Before joining Messner Reeves LLP, Michael was a Partner at Wilson Elser from 2009 to 2015, handling litigated matters related to professional liability, casualty, construction, employment, products, and transportation. Michael also managed all firm operations during their tenure.

Prior to Wilson Elser, Michael worked as a Partner at Lewis Brisbois from 2004 to 2009.

Michael Edwards CLMP, CXLT began their education in 1988 at the University of California, Davis, where they pursued a degree in History with a focus on Political Science and English. Michael completed their undergraduate studies in 1992. Following this, they attended the California Western School of Law from 1992 to 1995, earning a JD degree in the field of Law.

Michael Edwards also holds several additional certifications. Michael obtained the CLMP (Claims and Litigation Management Alliance) certification in October 2022 and the CXLT (Excel Tribometer) certification in the same month and year. In terms of legal licensure, they became licensed by the State Bar of California in December 1995, the State Bar of Nevada in December 1997, and the State Bar of Arizona in May 1998.
