Gary Magrino

Director, Business Development at Cocopah Indian Tribe

Gary Magrino is the Director of Business Development at Cocopah Indian Tribe. Prior to this, they were a board member and past chair of the Greater Yuma Port Authority, where they were responsible for arranging funding and coordinating construction for a new commercial port of entry between the United States and Mexico. The project was completed in 2008, making it the most modern port in the United States.

Before their work with the Greater Yuma Port Authority, Magrino was the founder and owner of Multi Tech Transportation L.L.C., a transportation company they ran for 28 years. Gary also served as a supply officer and command briefer for the US Army from 1984 to 1986.

Gary Magrino has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Management and Operations from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Gary also has a Master of Business Administration from Webster University. Gary Magrino is also a Logistics Supply Officer Major from the Logistics College at the U.S. Army Logistics School in Ft Lee, VA. Additionally, they are a Transportation Basic and Advanced Officer Major from the Transportation College at the US Army Transportation School. Gary Magrino also has a certification from the US Coast Guard in US Coast Guard License for Powered Vessels operating in Coastal U.S. water not exceeding 50 tons displacement.

Their manager is Elizabeth Benitez, Tribal Administrator. They work with Diana Navarro - Director of CVT, Judas Aguilar - Director, Surveillance, and Tomas Romero - Director of Social Service.
