Jared Ellis

Jared Ellis has a diverse work experience in various industries. In 2019, they started as a User Experience Intern at ZeniMax Media and Gearbox Publishing, where they gained valuable insights into the field. In the same year, they joined theCoderSchool as a Lead Programmer and Code Coach, demonstrating their leadership skills and passion for teaching.

Moving forward to 2021, Jared worked as an Operations Technician at the Dallas Stars Elite Hockey Club, where they contributed to the smooth operation of the organization. In 2023, they joined the UTD Game Production Lab as a Character Programmer, showcasing their technical expertise in game development.

Moreover, Jared held the role of a Technical Director at the UTD Animation Lab in 2023. In this role, they utilized Unreal 5.1 and Maya 2023, along with Python and PyQt/PySide, to enhance pipeline support for surfacing tools and provide technical support to artists.

Currently, Jared is a Software Developer at Nexrage Studios Custom Software, continuing to expand their skills and contribute to the development of custom software solutions.

Jared Ellis began their education at Collin College from 2018 to 2020, where they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Animation and Game Design. Jared then transferred to The University of Texas at Dallas in 2021 and is expected to graduate in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Animation and Games.
