Matthew Henderson has a diverse work experience that includes roles in alarm systems operations, civil affairs, and drill instruction. Matthew worked at The COGAR Group, Ltd. from 2019, where they were responsible for managing and ensuring the safety and security of personnel at Special Operations Command Headquarters. From 2013 to 2019, they served as a Civil Affairs Specialist at the United States Army Special Operations Command, where they supervised and executed operations in Southeast Asia. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Drill Instructor at the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, where they trained and mentored individuals to become soldiers in the U.S. National Guard.
Matthew Henderson began their education in 2019, starting at Hillsborough Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Anthropology. Matthew completed their studies at Hillsborough Community College in 2020. In the same year, they also enrolled at the University of South Florida, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International/Global Studies. Matthew is expected to graduate from the University of South Florida in 2022.
Matthew also possesses several additional certifications. In 2011, they obtained an Instructor certification from the US Army. Matthew obtained a Microsoft Office 365 certification from the US Army in 2010. In 2006, they obtained certification in the Infantry Carrier Vehicle STRYKER from General Dynamics. Lastly, they obtained an Incident Command Systems 400 certification from FEMA in 2015.
