Deidre Samson

Deidre Samson is a seasoned professional in strategic foresight and innovation, currently serving as a Strategic Foresight | Innovation Specialist at Future-Fit Consulting since November 2018. In addition, Deidre holds roles with The Collective X as Insights & Strategic Partnerships, and with UNDP as a member of their Expert Roster for Strategic Foresight. Deidre is a faculty member at both the University of the Free State and the University of Stellenbosch Business School, focusing on scenario planning within MBA programs. With extensive experience in global marketing and innovation management at Distell from 2004 to 2018, Deidre has also been a Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Futures Research and a member of professional organizations such as the Association of Professional Futurists and Project Management South Africa. Academic credentials include a Master of Philosophy in Future Studies from Stellenbosch Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Psychology from the University of South Africa.
