Mary Beidler Gearen

Mary Beidler Gearen is a trustee at The College of Wooster. Mary was previously the CEO of MBG Productions, Inc. and a visiting assistant professor at Miami University, Ohio.

Mary has always had a passion for the arts. Mary started their own production company, MBG Productions, Inc., in 1989. The company produced original plays and musicals, as well as hosting workshops and classes. In 1991, Mary became a visiting assistant professor at Miami University, Ohio, where they taught "Introduction to Theatre" to large lecture halls of non-majors. Mary used an Aristotelian model as a discernment device to help students learn how to evaluate performances of all kinds.

Mary is committed to education and the arts. Mary currently serves as a trustee at The College of Wooster, where they work to promote the arts and humanities.

Mary Beidler Gearen has a M.F.A. in Theatre Performance from the U of Cincinnati College/Conservatory of Music, a M.A. in Theatre Theirtory, Literature & Criticism from The Ohio State University, and a B.A. in Theatre, French, and geology from The College of Wooster.
