Ikani Israel Hassan

Ikani Israel Hassan currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Academy and is the Founder and Executive Director of Climate Solution International, a global youth organization advocating for youth-led climate action. Additionally, Ikani holds various roles in organizations such as The Collidescope Foundation as an Advisory Board Member, and as the Team Lead of the Youth Constituency Adaptation Research Taskforce at UN Climate Change, focusing on youth engagement in climate adaptation research. Ikani is also involved with YOUNGO, managing policy committees, and represents youth interests in UNFCCC discussions. Other roles include membership in the Youth Adaptation Network at the Global Center on Adaptation and recognition as a Young Champion with UNHCR. Ikani's educational background includes pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and a National Diploma in Business Administration, complemented by ongoing studies in Climate Adaptation at the University of Cape Town.
