Tom Charlier has extensive experience in journalism, currently serving as the Sunday editor and projects reporter for the Memphis Commercial Appeal since September 1986. Charlier has held various titles at The Commercial Appeal, contributing significantly as a reporter and editor. Prior to that, Charlier worked as a reporter and assistant city editor at The (Biloxi-Gulfport) Sun Herald from February 1984 to September 1986, and as the editor for The Lake City Town Crier from November 1980 to February 1984, where responsibilities included newswriting, photography, page layout, and paste-up. Charlier earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington between 1976 and 1980.
