Carolina C. Murphy

Carolina C. Murphy has a diverse background in sustainable finance and corporate purpose. Carolina currently holds the position of Director, Advisory & Corporate Insights at CECP, where they collaborate with CEOs and leaders in various corporate functions to address stakeholder needs and build long-term sustainable value. Prior to CECP, Carolina worked as a Senior Advisor at A10 Investimentos e Assessoria, supporting portfolio companies in developing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies. Carolina also served as an Executive Director at MSO, where they managed a team and utilized social econometrics data to forecast e-commerce sales. Additionally, Carolina has experience in independent research at Columbia University, where they focused on sustainable finance and ESG regulatory frameworks. Carolina also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Columbia, assisting in the promotion of projects linked to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Carolina's early career included roles as Co-Founder of Micro-Empowering Inc., a non-profit organization connecting sustainable development professionals with social entrepreneurship projects, and as a Research Associate at Dalberg Global Development Advisors, where they conducted economic research and co-wrote reports. Carolina has also worked with Grameen Bank and Americas Society/Council of the Americas, gaining experience in mobile payment technology and market intelligence, respectively.

Carolina C. Murphy pursued their education in a chronological order. Carolina obtained a Masters in International Affairs with a focus on Economic and Political Development from Columbia University, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. Before that, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, attending from 1997 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Carolina has also acquired various certifications throughout their career. Some of these certifications include the SEC Solution from Workiva, Using the ESG Solution from Workiva, the Women's Corporate Board Readiness Program from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, the Governance of climate-related risks and opportunities from FSB Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Understanding the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) from FSB Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and the Certified Environmental Professional in Training (CEP-IT) from the Academy of Board Certified Environmental Professionals (ABCEP).

Moreover, they also completed the Morningside Human Subjects Training Course at Columbia University in the City of New York in 2008.
