Jona Roka

Jona Roka currently serves as the Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Resources for the Commonwealth of Virginia since November 2023, following a role as a Policy Assistant. Previously, Jona held the position of Community Health Lead at Ounce from July 2022 to October 2023, focusing on the intersection of housing and health. Jona's earlier experience includes coaching with the James Madison University Women's Tennis Team from September 2021 to May 2022 and working as a Research Assistant and Intern at the Center for International Stabilization and Recovery. Jona's academic background includes a Master of Public Administration in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management and a Bachelor of Science in Health Services from James Madison University. Jona was also a student athlete at James Madison University from August 2016 to May 2021.
