Melvin Roy

Melvin Roy is the founder of Foster-U, an organization aimed at empowering foster youth to pursue higher education through community service, mentorship, and workshops. With experience as a Customer Success Associate at Prolegis and a digital intern with the U.S. House of Representatives, Melvin has developed strong skills in relationship cultivation and digital media management. Previous roles include serving as a marketing intern at American Express, a Youth Support Partner with UMFS, and the Board President of the Youth Advisory Board for the Virginia Department of Social Services. Melvin holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from Old Dominion University, where Foster-U was initiated during undergraduate studies, and brings a commitment to advocacy and support for foster youth throughout various educational and professional experiences.
