Sonia Varney

Sonia Varney is an accomplished Technology Portfolio System Administrator and Information Technology Specialist II with extensive experience in project management and application administration. Currently serving as the primary administrator for the Commonwealth Technology Portfolio application at the Commonwealth of Virginia's Information Technology Agency since October 2020, Sonia provides critical application support, performance monitoring, and user configuration management while facilitating organizational change management. Previous roles include serving as a Project Manager and Planview Enterprise One Administrator at XPO Logistics, where over 1500 users were supported globally, and managing various IT projects across multiple organizations, including FusionStorm and PCM. Sonia holds a Bachelor of Technical Management from DeVry University and an Associate of Science in Computer Science from Columbus State Community College, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
