Robin Watson has over 20 years of experience in the affordable housing industry. They began their career in 1995 as the Director of Resident Services at Pinnacle Place, a Beacon Community, where they provided support and services to residents. They then served as the Property Manager for the same community, managing all aspects of a 400+ unit high-rise. In 2012, Robin was promoted to Integration Manager for Beacon Communities, where they developed and implemented company-wide policies for onboarding new team members. Since 2015, Robin has been working at The Community Builders, Inc., first as the Training and Resident Experience Manager, and currently as the Director of Training and Operational Support. In these roles, they have been responsible for developing and implementing training programs, assessing site performance, and identifying occupancy trends to improve leasing and retention.
Robin Watson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Early Education, and Studio Arts from Skidmore College, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Additionally, they have earned several certifications, including Certified Manager of Housing and Certified Occupancy Specialist, COS & COS-P, from the National Center for Housing Management. They have also completed various online courses on topics such as Ethics in the Age of Generative AI, Nano Tips for Using Microsoft Office, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and What's Next: Reinventing Work in the New Normal, offered by LinkedIn.
