As Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Nassal, Melissa is dedicated to the increasing the visibility and reputation of Nassal through creative and effective marketing endeavors. Melissa is also committed to attaining effective information and insight to carry out the company’s business development activities.

Melissa is responsible for exploring, creating and communicating an intentional strategic marketing approach to define, differentiate and engage The Companies of Nassal’s competitive edge.

Melissa works hand in hand with the Partners to identify client perceptions, their present and future needs, and how they can be a trusted resource to ensure progressive client development. In addition, Melissa educates trains and leads employees to provide excellent service and how it affects the overall firm’s reputation and business development efforts.

Since joining Nassal in 2012, Melissa has played a key role in project pursuits and awards to ensure a steady flow of work for the company while also developing and implementing clear marketing and branding strategies across The Companies of Nassal. Melissa has also become “unofficial ambassador” to West Coast teams to promote unity and consistency of Nassal’s core culture between various facilities. In Melissa’s short time in the industry, she has made a big impact within various industry associations by becoming a commercial board member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums as well as being elected as President-Elect of the International Board of Directors for the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), with her term as President commencing December 1, 2022.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing, Communications & Advertising from Western New England College, Springfield, MA.
