Steve Roderick comes to the Concord Consortium with more than three decades of experience in high schools as both a teacher and science administrator. With formal training in marine biology, he holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in biology, marine ecology, and environmental policy. While enrolled in a full immersion environmental science class as an undergraduate, Steve met a very special teacher and became deeply interested in education as a means for bringing the Earth’s environment to a better place. It was also in this course that he was introduced to system dynamics, a discipline that uses computer modeling, and holistic approaches to thinking about complex systems. From that point on he was “hooked,” and the systems approach became part of every class he taught. Steve brings his many years of experience to the Multilevel Computational Modeling, Linking Complex Systems, and InquirySpace projects.
