Joy Westendorf

Joy Westendorf is an experienced educator specializing in physical education and health, currently serving as a Physical Education and Health Teacher at CPS Virtual Academy since August 2021. Joy has been a Remote Physical Education & Health Teacher at Laurel Springs School since October 2018, instructing various online courses for high school students and demonstrating proficiency with multiple learning management systems. With a strong background in both physical education and special education, Joy has taught at various institutions, including Mark T. Skinner Elementary School and Ypsilanti Public Schools. Joy holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master’s in Special Education and a Master’s in Instructional Strategies, alongside National Board Certification in Elementary Education. Joy is committed to leveraging technology in education, developing inclusive curriculums, and fostering student engagement through tailored learning experiences.
