David Renard

David Renard serves as a Board Member at Localis since April 2017, directing policy work and organizational operations. In June 2024, David joined the CALM Trust as a Committee Board Member, focusing on supporting families affected by children's cancer. Involved with The Conservative Party since 1994, David has held multiple roles within local government, including Peer Member with the Local Government Association, where responsibilities included mentoring and assessing other councils. David also chaired the Grenfell Working Group and held leadership positions at Swindon Borough Council from 2002 to 2023, including Leader of the Council and Chairman of the Health and Well-being Board. Additional board roles include directorship at Wichelstowe Joint Venture Board and engagements with economic development boards. David's education includes a BSc Hons in Management from The Open University and various qualifications in leadership and local governance.
