Amanda Looney

Amanda Looney began their work experience as a National Admissions Advisor at Career Education Corporation- American InterContinental University Online (AIU) in 2006. Amanda then joined Kelly Services as a Senior Staffing Supervisor/ Recruiter in 2007, where they were responsible for managing the recruitment and sourcing process for local and corporate clients. In 2013, they worked at Addison Group as a Direct Hire Recruiter/ Business Development- Information Technology, where they provided account management for direct hire vertical and identified top-level technical talent. From 2014 to 2017, Amanda worked at Sears Holdings Corporation in various roles, including Senior Recruiter and Manager of Talent Acquisition, where they led teams and developed recruitment strategies. Amanda then joined IAA in 2017 as a Manager of Talent Acquisition and later became a Director and Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, overseeing recruitment strategy and building partnerships. Currently, Amanda is the Talent Acquisition Director at The Container Store, starting in 2023.

Amanda Looney obtained a BA in Psychology with a minor in Child Development/Family Studies from Purdue University. Amanda also obtained additional certifications, including the Textio Inclusive Recruiting Certification from Textio in July 2021, and the Inclusive Employment Training Certification from Cara Chicago in 2021. In 2020, they attended the Inclusive Employment Training Institute at Cara Chicago.
