Brooke Gray

Executive Director Of National Expansion at The Contingent

Brooke Gray has a diverse work experience that spans over 15 years. Brooke currently holds the position of Executive Director of Strategic Growth at The Contingent, where they have been since November 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director of Mobilizing Community at The Contingent from January 2020 to November 2021.

From 2015 to 2021, Brooke worked at Portland Leadership Foundation, where they held the role of Executive Director of Government Partnerships from November 2016 to November 2021. Brooke also served as the Director of Embrace Oregon from May 2015 to October 2016.

Before joining Portland Leadership Foundation, Brooke worked at Africa New Life Ministries from 2008 to 2015. During their time there, they held various roles including Director of Programs from September 2013 to April 2015, Sponsorship Program Manager from May 2011 to August 2013, and Community Relations Director from July 2008 to May 2011. In their role as Sponsorship Program Manager, they managed a child sponsorship program with over 5,000 Rwandan participants and a donor base of more than 4,000 in the U.S.

Prior to Africa New Life Ministries, Brooke served as the Communications Director at Forward Edge International from January 2007 to June 2008. Brooke also worked briefly as a Government Relations Consultant at Springfield Public Schools #19 in 2006.

Brooke Gray obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations from the University of Oregon. Prior to that, they attended Portland Christian for an unspecified period of time, but did not earn a degree or specify a field of study.
