Mark McKinty

Mark McKinty is an experienced professional currently serving as the Project Support and Administration Co-ordinator at Destination CQ BID since June 2022, while also volunteering with Shout UK. Mark holds the position of Organ Scholar with Down & Dromore and Connor Organ Scholarship, providing practical training in choral direction. An active contributor to The Conversation UK since August 2016, Mark has a rich background in local government, having served as Councillor for the Larne Lough DEA with Mid and East Antrim Borough Council and Larne Borough Council, including roles as Deputy Mayor and Chairperson of various committees. Previously, Mark has held positions such as Project Manager at Stealth Translations Ltd, Graduate Teaching Assistant at Queen's University Belfast, and Owner/Manager of LoveLarne. Mark's academic achievements include a PhD in Hispanic Studies and a Postgraduate Certificate in Community Management, with ongoing studies toward a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The Open University.
