Amanda Figueiras

Amanda Figueiras has a diverse work experience in various roles related to clinical and behavioral services. Starting in 2007, they worked as a School Counseling Intern at City of Poughkeepsie Middle/High School, where they provided academic support, mentoring, and counseling to at-risk students. From 2008 to 2011, they served as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Montclair State University Health and Nutrition Department. In 2009, they held a School Counseling Intern position at Essex County Technical Vocational School. In 2011, they joined Youth Counseltaiton Services: Sawtelle Learning Center as an ABA Teacher Assistant, and in 2012, they worked as an In-Home ABA Therapist at KV Adaptive. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Behaviorist at Youth Consultation Service: Sawtelle Learning Center. From 2014 to 2017, they held the roles of BCBA/Clinical Coordinator and Assistant Clinical Director at COR Behavioral Group, where they supervised and trained coordinators providing in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Since 2018, they have been working as a Clinical Director at The COR Behavioral Group.

Amanda Figueiras began their education at Marist College: School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, where they earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology from 2004 to 2008. Amanda then pursued a Master's degree in Counseling and School Counseling at Montclair State University: College of Education and Human Services from 2008 to 2010. Later, they completed ABA Coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis at Rutgers University-New Brunswick from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, they obtained the BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
