In this role, they facilitate daily editorial planning and special event coverage across eight sections with the masthead. Tamara also manages staffing schedules, team building and training sessions for editorial staff. Additionally, they direct the newsroom internship program to recruit, train and mentor collegiate talent. Tamara has also partnered with business development to create products aimed at furthering revenue. Lastly, they manage assignments, editing and payment for freelance contributors.
