Ali Grau

Ali Grau is a senior photographer at The Daily Tar Heel since August 2022. Additionally, Ali holds a crew member position at Trader Joe's since May 2022 and has experience as a summer camp counselor at Southern Village Club from June 2022 to August 2024 and at Camp Cheerio from June 2021 to September 2021. A project intern at KDC and FILMS from October 2023 to March 2024, Ali assisted in research and organization during the post-production stage of the documentary "Open Secret" by Kerry David. Ali is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environment at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with additional studies planned at Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici in 2024. Ali graduated from Carrboro High School in 2022.
