Robert has over 25 years of experience in the laboratory industry, including executive positions at Nichols Institute, where they served as director of strategic projects for the commercial laboratory division.

Michel is a recognized expert on the business and economics of clinical laboratories, and has consulted with labs of all sizes on strategic planning, marketing, and operations. Robert is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, and their work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, and Forbes.

Robert L. Michel attended the University of California, Los Angeles where they studied economics and received their BA. Prior to that, they attended Santa Ana Senior High School.
