Jay Sausmer

Jay Sausmer, GA-CEM, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in emergency management and security. Since April 2006, Jay has served as an Adjunct Instructor at the Georgia Emergency Management Agency/Homeland Security, focusing on Advanced GA-CEM terrorism-related courses. In September 2017, Jay became the Director of Security at The Alfred and Adele Davis Academy, where responsibilities include establishing liaisons with local emergency management, law enforcement, and fire service agencies, emphasizing an All-Hazards approach. Prior to this, Jay worked with the Fulton County Police Department from June 1994 to September 2017, holding roles as an Investigator/Task Force Coordinator, focusing on international terrorism investigations, and as a Patrol/Field Training Officer, recognized as a POST-certified instructor since 1998. Jay holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Norwich University and has furthered education at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
