Peter Huoppi

Peter Huoppi is an experienced multimedia professional and educator with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Director of Multimedia at The Day Publishing Company since July 2007, Peter also contributes to the academic field as an Adjunct Professor of Communication at Eastern Connecticut State University since August 2014 and previously held the position of Adjunct Instructor at Connecticut College in early 2020. Prior experience includes a role as a Staff Photographer at The Burlington Free Press from 2002 to 2007 and freelance photography work from 2000 to 2002. Peter began his career with internships at The Addison Independent and The Burlington Free Press in 1999 and 2000, respectively. Educationally, Peter holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia (2015-2019) and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Computer Science from Middlebury College (1996-2000).
