Allison Smalley

Allison Smalley currently serves as Assistant Chief Counsel at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a position held since December 2023. Prior to this role, Allison was an Associate Attorney at Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP from April 2022 to December 2023 and served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office from September 2018 to March 2022. Academic experience includes working as a Teaching Assistant and Teaching Fellow at St. John's University School of Law, where Allison obtained a JD in 2018. Earlier professional roles include internships at various legal organizations, including The Legal Aid Society of NYC and Brooklyn Defender Services. Allison earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from SUNY New Paltz in 2014.
