Coleman Strickland

Coleman Strickland is a data scientist with extensive experience in operations research and data analysis. Currently serving at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security since October 2024, Coleman leads a data science team responsible for supporting senior leadership through data management and analysis. Previously, Coleman held the position of Manager of Operations Research at JDSAT, Inc. from June 2022 to June 2024 and served as an Operations Research Analyst and Master Instructor at the United States Naval Academy from July 2018 to June 2022, where course material for various mathematics and data science courses was developed and taught. Coleman also has military experience as the Battalion Logistics Officer for the 2d Intelligence Battalion, II MHG, United States Marine Corps from February 2013 to June 2016. Academically, Coleman holds a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
