Athena Maria Sofides

Athena Maria Sofides is currently a Research Assistant with the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at Yale University and a Fellow in Clinical Care, Education, and Patient Advocacy at The Diabetes Link, where focus is on diabetes patient advocacy. Athena holds extensive experience as a Paralegal and Legal Assistant at The Lanier Law Firm, specializing in corporate liabilities and product liability litigation. Prior roles include serving as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at UMass Amherst, studying the impact of xenoestrogens on the endocrine system, and working as a Teaching Assistant at Smith College, facilitating discussions in Environmental Science and Policy. Athena's education includes a Master of Environmental Management in progress at Yale School of the Environment and a Bachelor's degree with High Honors from Smith College in Environmental Science and Policy and Biological Sciences.
