Tara Sweeney

Tara Sweeney has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tara most recently served as the Foundations and Grants Manager at The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International. Prior to this, they were the Director of Development at Odyssey Atlanta, where they were responsible for fundraising, marketing communications, and organizing special events. Tara's earlier career includes a significant role as the Director of Marketing Communications at the American Enterprise Institute, where they led a team in developing and implementing strategies to meet the institute's annual budget and manage donor communications.

Tara Sweeney completed their undergraduate education at Middlebury College from 1990 to 1994. Tara obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian and East European Studies during this time. Following their undergraduate studies, from 1997 to 1998, they pursued further education at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Tara obtained a Master of Science degree in Russian and Post-Soviet Studies from LSE during this period.
