Brandon Nilles is an experienced Manufacturing Specialist and Assistant Shop Technician at Caltech since April 2019, with extensive roles in rigging and infrastructure management across various organizations. Serving as Rigging Lead for Burning Man since August 2014, as well as Site Rigger for Do LaB, Inc. and Rigging & Special Projects for Bamboo DNA since 2013, Brandon has been responsible for design/build, safety inspections, and training. Additionally, as House Rigger for Pirate's Dinner Adventure since 2006, Brandon constructed structures and managed operations at height. Previous experience includes work as a Rope Access Technician at Ropeworks, focusing on high-altitude access and inspection, and as a Rigger at Icarus Rigging, specializing in diverse rigging and construction settings. Brandon holds a Master of Engineering in Additive Manufacturing and Design from Penn State University, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine, and an Associate's degree in Engineering and Technology from Pasadena City College.
