J. Ross Conner

VP, Exploration & Strategic Planning at The Doe Run Resources Corporation

J. Ross Conner leads Doe Run’s Exploration Department, Resource Recycling facility, and the Central Lab. Along with his team, Ross manages both the beginning and end of the infinite lead lifecycle by locating new ore bodies as well as overseeing the recycling of spent lead batteries and other lead materials. In addition to exploration, Ross oversees the company’s Central Lab, which provides critical analysis in support of exploration functions, operations, and research activities. Doe Run’s Metals Division – represented by the Buick Resource Recycling facility – also reports to Ross. This facility plays a vital role in the circular economy of lead batteries by recycling spent lead batteries and other lead-bearing material and returning it to the battery and other manufacturers.

Ross earned a bachelor’s degree in specialist geology from Brandon University in Brandon, Manitoba, and a master’s degree in environment and management from Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia.
