Scott Miettinen

Scott Miettinen is an experienced mining professional with a robust background in various roles within the industry. Currently serving as Mining Manager at The Doe Run Company since September 2016, Scott has previously worked as Mine Operations Manager, Mine Superintendent, and Mine Engineer II. Prior experience includes positions at Peabody Energy from August 2011 to September 2016, where Scott held roles such as Drill and Blast Supervisor, Senior Engineer, and Mine Engineer/Pit Planner. Earlier career experiences include work as an Engineer at Kiewit Underground from June 2009 to June 2011 and as a Summer Intern at Mississippi Lime Company in 2008. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering with an emphasis in Explosives from the University of Missouri at Rolla, completed in 2009.
