Nicole Cummings, PHR has extensive experience in human resources and organizational development. Their most recent position was as the Chief People Officer at The Duckhorn Portfolio starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Vice President People and Organizational Development at the same company from 2022 to 2024.
Before joining The Duckhorn Portfolio, Nicole worked at Cakebread Cellars from 2014 to 2022, initially as the Vice President of Culture and Talent Development and later as the Human Resources Manager.
Nicole also served as the President of WINE WOMEN from 2020 to 2022, where they played an instrumental role in promoting diversity and professional development in the wine industry.
Their earlier experiences include working as the Director of Human Resources and Training at Securities America, Inc. from 2011 to 2014, and as the Director of Training at Securities America from 2009 to 2011. Nicole also held the position of HR Director at Brecek and Young Advisors from 2006 to 2008.
Nicole started their career as an HR Generalist at EAH Housing from 1999 to 2001. Overall, Nicole Cummings has a strong background in people management, training, and talent development.
Nicole Cummings, PHR has an Executive MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, which they obtained in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from California State University-Chico in 1998. In 1996, they completed their AA in Business at the College of the Sequoias. Additionally, Nicole has obtained certifications in Lominger Critical Competencies, Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Situational Leadership II, and WSET Level I, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are unknown.
